I have more than 20 years of experience working closely with K-8 students. My expertise is implementing technology tools to enhance the learning of my students. I have a Bachelor's degree from Wayne State University and a Master's degree from Marygrove College.

My tutoring style:

I ask questions to discover the thought processes of my students and learn how they come up with different answers. By asking questions and allowing them to explain their strategies, I can better understand and clear up any misconceptions they may have. I also use humor to break the ice with my students. I believe that integrating good humor into education leads to faster learning and makes mathematics much less intimidating for young learners.

Success story:

One summer, I had a parent reach out on social media who was desperate to get her daughter caught up in elementary math. She was afraid her daughter had fallen too far behind due to difficulties with virtual learning. I agreed to help and we started working together three times per week. Initially, the student was shy, but eventually she warmed up and blossomed into a fantastic math student. One day, she surprised me when she showed me that she had created her own multiplication chart! She was so proud! Her mom told me her daughter had never liked math before, but after my help she couldn't wait to learn more.

Hobbies and interests:

All things related to technology, including digital design and 3D printing; playing sports; being with my children; running.
