I bring professional experience to my approach as a tutor. I'm a retired senior engineer from Raytheon and I taught math in colleges and universities. I have a master's degree in math and a Ph.D. in engineering from UCLA and I tutor grades 7-College.

My tutoring style:

I immensely enjoy explaining difficult mathematical concepts in terms that students can readily absorb. Appreciating the fact that students learning styles have a large degree of variation, I present the material in a number of different formats such as class notes, video tapes of class meetings, interactive software to provide “hands-on” learning, and lecture notes.

Success story:

After many years of leaving my teaching students have come to me with statements such as: you were my best teacher in all my undergraduate years at the university, the advice you gave was the best pedagogical tool I have found in all my years of schooling through graduating university.

Hobbies and interests:

Swimming and playing the piano.
