I know I can provide the tools and support to help any student excel in chemistry. I earned a master's degree in biomedical sciences from Georgetown University and I tutor grades 9-College.
I believe in a step-by-step approach in tutoring, and the importance of creating a strong foundation of understanding with concept building blocks to best understand the big picture.
As a freshman in college, I struggled with General Chemistry. I hadn’t had much exposure to it in high school, and needed to start from scratch to understand the concepts. I worked hard to create my own methods that involved breaking down big concepts into building blocks and problems into a step-by-step format that helped me better visualize how information connected to create solutions. At the end of the semester, I finished at the top of my class and was asked to become a Teacher’s Assistant as a sophomore. I ended up teaching the course I had initially struggled with for three years, until I graduated from my institution. In that time, I was able to assist countless students excel in chemistry with my methods, even if it was their first introduction to the subject.
