I am a certified teacher with more than a decade of education combining classroom and supplemental education. My degree is from Central Washington University and I specialize in secondary mathematics.

I am a structured mathematics teacher who utilizes the foundations already established to build up skills to reach success in difficult areas. Taking what a student already knows and creating a scaffold for them to progress through math problems and, ideally, life's problems, too.

My favorite success story is about a boy with high hopes. He wanted to pass Algebra by the end of his senior year. It was a big leap for him as we had previously worked on a lot of lower skill level material before the end of his junior year. Summer handed him a hefty packet of math work to complete by the beginning of the school year and I knew he needed to hunker down and get to the grind. As the year went on we checked in on solving equations, inequalities, and graphing linear functions. At the end of it all, he earned a grade well beyond his personal goal; he passed his Algebra class with an A!

When I'm not working on math with others, I am usually playing some games. Whether they're board, tabletop, video, or card, it's usually a game that keeps me entertained. I also take pride in photography when I find myself traveling and seeing new sights.
