Angela

I am a certified teacher and administrator with almost 30 years of experience in education. My classroom teaching experience ranges from early childhood to middle school, in both brick and mortar and virtual environments. My students have been located throughout the United States, China, and Vietnam. I have also instructed adults on the college level as well. I hold a bachelor's degree from South Carolina State University, a master's degree from the University of South Carolina, a second master's degree from Capella University and a doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University.

Tutoring Style

I am upbeat, enthusiastic and love to have fun. I like for students to feel comfortable with me, so it is important for me to know students' interests. I try to incorporate those into my instruction when possible. I like to break concepts down so that students will understand. Meeting students where they are is critical for their progression.

Success Story

One of my success stories is when I tutored a kindergarten student in reading. At the time, he was below reading level and was facing being retained.

Hobbies & Interests

My hobbies are playing the piano, singing, and watching movies, when I am not teaching or tutoring. I am a HUGE Marvel fan!
