About Me

I am a Mathematics instructor with more than 7 years of teaching experience, and 10+ years of tutoring experience. I tutor students of all ages. I have a master's degree from Georgia Southern University.

Tutoring Style

I am a passionate teacher with a sincere desire to help boost my students' confidence and provide them with an exciting learning experience. I begin with problems designed to assess my student's current understanding. From here, I build slowly by starting with simpler problems and increasing the difficulty level by and by, as the student feels more confident. I tend to switch up my tutoring style/approach based on what works best for each student.

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories is when I helped a nursing student with understanding and applying dosage calculations. This particular student had taken my College Algebra course, but was struggling after entering into the nursing program. This student would stop by the math lab for tutoring at least 2 times each week. She ended up being successful in the course, and had a much better understanding of the content!
