I am a certified math teacher with experience teaching students with learning differences. I earned a bachelor's and master's degree in mathematics from Southern University and A&M College and a master's degree in gifted and talented education. I love mathematics and teaching. I tutor grades 6 through College Algebra/Trigonometry.

I am a compassionate teacher. My goal is to meet students where they are academically and then grow their confidence, math fluency, and achievement. I tailor my tutoring style, pace, and structure to meet the needs of each student. I use research-based instructional strategies, and mnemonic devices, and provide real-world examples to solidify students' understanding of math concepts.

Success Story:

I tutored a student in Algebra 1. When we began working together, she lacked foundational skills, did not like math class, and earned poor grades. After months of tutoring twice a week, her grades improved. However, I considered this partnership successful because she improved her math fluency and enjoyed math more.
