I’ve taught grades K-College in public schools for more than 30 years. I love helping students to overcome their fear of math. I have a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of California at Los Angeles and I’m a certified teacher.

My tutoring style:

I always start with teaching concepts, followed by procedures and then application.

Success story:

I taught 4th grade during my first year as a teacher. There was a student who was a foster child and was kicked out of many homes and schools. He gave me a very hard time during class. I went out of my way to show him I cared by visiting him and his foster family. Because I showed him that he mattered, his behavior got better and his math grade improved tremendously. He became one of my top students in class. This is an example of meeting students were they are in order to motivate them to learn.
