I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education and my Master’s degree in Elementary Education. As a state-licensed math teacher for the past 25+ years, my experience includes teaching public school classes (grades 7-12), private tutoring (grades K-12), and homeschool classes. I have been an online teacher since 2017.

Tutoring Style
I believe children can learn math. As a person who struggled with math as a younger learner, I can empathize with and relate to learners as they try to learn new concepts. A lot of encouragement goes a long way! I adapt my teaching style by assessing the learners' level of understanding during the sessions and, if necessary, pivoting and quickly reframing the lessons to meet their needs.

Success Story
I once taught a special education student who was mainstreamed into my math class. She lacked confidence but had the math ability to keep up the pace with the other students. With lots of hard work, extra help, and encouragement, she went from doubting herself to earning an A by the end of the school year.

Hobbies & Interests
My hobbies include sewing, photography, baking, and gardening.
