I have over a decade of experience in education, teaching students from early elementary through adult learners. I specialize in Mathematics, helping learners build confidence in topics ranging from foundational concepts to college calculus, and also teach Programming to students interested in gaining a head start in tech. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Miami and am currently completing my second degree in Electrical Engineering at Florida International University.

Tutoring Style

I am a patient, supportive, and communicative educator who believes every student has the ability to learn challenging concepts when it is presented in the right way. Since every student has a unique learning style, I strive to empower them by encouraging their strengths, and guiding them in areas for growth. Most importantly, rather than simply memorizing formulas or relying solely on drilling through practice problems, I emphasize developing mathematical intuition so students gain lasting confidence throughout their academic careers.

Success Story

One of my most memorable success stories is of a student preparing to retake a competitive private high school entrance exam after failing on his first attempt, while his twin brother had passed. The family was understandably anxious, as the boys were very close and had always envisioned attending school together. While his brother was more academically inclined, I recognized that the student I was working with was more interested in sports and athletics, so I leaned into that strength by incorporating kinesthetic learning strategies such as physical fraction models. We met biweekly throughout the entire summer, working through these concepts and practice exams. Not only did he pass the exam, but he earned a near perfect score. The family was relieved, and in the end, the brothers graduated high school together and were later even accepted to the same college.

Hobbies & Interests

In my free time, I enjoy hobbies that engage my mind. I’m fascinated with practicing new languages, with my main focus being on learning Russian and Spanish. I also love spending time with my dog, a mystery mutt named Charlie, and taking him to the beautiful nature walks throughout South Florida. Some of my weekends are also spent playing Magic: The Gathering, a strategy-based collectible card game, with my friends at the local comic and card shops. When I’m not exercising my brain, I dedicate time to lifting weights at the gym.
