I am a math enthusiast and tutor with a bachelor's degree from Texas State University. I have roughly 13 years of experience assisting a variety of math students with backgrounds that vary along a vast spectrum. My skillset resides in a range that accommodates many, stretching from basic algebra to advanced calculus.

My Tutoring Style:

I love helping students discover and fortify a passion for learning. My approach is adaptable and tailored to accommodate student needs. Active listening and responses that meet the moment are the key catalysts that drive the engine, helping students take control of their learning, and aiding them to shift their perspective toward sustained success and confidence through the power of autonomy.

Success Story:

Some of my fondest memories stem from a relationship cultivated a few years back. I had a student named Brent whose math skills were ailing at the time he entered our community college. He was impelled to enroll in remedial courses designed to attenuate these deficiencies, but it was immediately apparent that Brent harbored vast potential. He earned an A in the class, but he didn't stop there. Our collaboration continued for years, as he continued to earn A's in college algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, the entire calculus sequence, linear algebra, and engineering physics. Today, Brent is finishing his stint in electrical engineering, in the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas.

Hobbies & Interests:

When I am not tutoring, I love to watch college football! I have an affinity for NFL games too.  I also love diving deeper into mathematics, listening to music, and playing the tuba.
