I am a certified science teacher with 6 years of classroom experience including international teaching experience. I have a double master's degree in education from Tennessee State University and Trevecca Nazrene University.

Tutoring Style

I am a passionate teacher whose idea of teaching and learning is to meet the student where they are as far as adapting to their needs. I am a strong believer that every child can learn, but not every child can learn in the same way. It is important to me to encourage the student throughout the process while holding them accountable and holding them to high expectations. I also incorporate hands-on learning and technology where applicable.

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories is when I helped a former student in math during my year of volunteer experience with City Year (AmeriCorps). She did not like math because it was always a challenge for her, and she didn't have anyone to give her the one-on-one support she needed at the time. After working with her for a few months, she gained a lot of confidence in her math abilities and actually started to like math. With my help, she was able to raise her grade from a D to a B.

Hobbies & Interests

When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy creating tiktok's and editing videos, working out, watching college basketball, sleeping, hanging out with friends, and traveling.
