I am an experienced K–12 tutor with several years of experience helping students strengthen their skills in math, reading, writing, science, and test preparation. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Liberty University and have worked with students in both one-on-one and small-group settings. I also have experience preparing students for the SAT and ACT and supporting learners with a wide range of academic needs.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s individual learning needs. I break challenging concepts into manageable steps and use examples, practice problems, visuals, and real-world connections to make the material easier to understand. I regularly check for understanding and adjust my approach when a student needs additional explanation or a different strategy. My goal is not only to improve academic performance, but also to help students become more confident and independent learners.
STEM Student
I worked with a student who needed additional support with math and STEM concepts, particularly problem-solving, understanding multi-step questions, and applying concepts independently. Through individualized lessons, guided practice, and real-world examples, I helped the student build a stronger understanding of challenging material. I focused on breaking complex problems into manageable steps while encouraging the student to explain their reasoning and develop confidence in their abilities. Over time, the student became more comfortable approaching unfamiliar problems, demonstrating greater independence and a more positive attitude toward learning. This experience reinforced the importance of meeting students where they are and creating a supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and academic growth.
ELA Student
I supported an ELA student who needed help strengthening reading comprehension, writing, and the ability to analyze texts. By incorporating engaging reading activities, vocabulary development, writing exercises, and structured discussions, I helped the student improve their ability to identify key ideas, organize thoughts, and communicate clearly. I tailored each lesson to the student’s learning needs and used positive reinforcement to encourage participation and independence. As the student progressed, they became more confident in interpreting texts, expressing ideas, and approaching writing assignments. Seeing the student’s growth highlighted the impact of personalized instruction and the importance of building both academic skills and confidence.
When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy traveling, fashion, beauty and skincare, technology, and creating content. I also love trying new restaurants, attending events, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new places. I’m naturally creative and enjoy learning new things, especially when it comes to technology and digital media. I also love a good conversation and finding fun ways to connect with people!
