I am a tutor with over a decade of experience tutoring in subjects of English, political science, essay writing, literature, and history for high school and college students. I have a Master of Arts degree in Creative Writing and English. I tutor grades 9 to graduate-level students.

My tutoring style:

I am very enthusiastic when it comes to the topics that I feel passionately about that I teach. I always look to adapt to my student's needs. I ask leading questions, repeating what the student needs so we are on the same page and ensure we stay on topic. I want my students to leave a session with the knowledge they sought when they come to me through a careful review of what we have learned. I like it when my students succeed through learning.

Success story:

I tutored one of my private students in English, specifically essay writing, an area of struggle for her. We learned the different types of high school essay writing she needed to know, and we practiced with her writing. She was the first to graduate high school in her family, and I helped her write her college admission essay. I continued to tutor her in English in college, where she received a degree in Literature. We still connect to this day.

Hobbies and interests:

My hobbies include traveling the world, reading books of any genre, hiking, and my greatest love is writing dystopian fantasy fiction novels.
