I am a certified teacher with a little over 6 years of experience in the classroom teaching a variety of high school math subjects. I have a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Texas A&M University in College Station and I tutor grades 9 - 12.

Tutoring Style

I am an upbeat and positive person with a passion for helping students achieve their goals. I am able to differentiate my instruction in order to meet my students where they are and remain patient until my students feel confident with the material. I love to build confidence in my students to make them feel supported and comfortable while they are learning.

Success Story

One of my most meaningful success stories is when I had a student in my Geometry class that was struggling to pass my tests. I encouraged him to come to tutorials twice a week, and after reviewing the material one-on-one and giving him extra practice material to really understand the subject, he was feeling more confident in the class. The next test he took in my class, he passed with an A! I was so proud of him, and he continued to attend tutorials after that test because he could see the benefits to receiving that additional personalized instruction. Not only did his grade improve, but his self-confidence and problem-solving skills also grew.

Hobbies & Interests

When I am not tutoring, I like to listen to music and exercise my creativity through crafting. I like to do embroidery, scrapbooking, sewing, journaling, and anything else that inspires me. I also enjoy playing games like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley on my Nintendo Switch and lounging around with my cat, Kiwi.
