I am a credentialed teacher with 4 years of teaching experience and 20 years of tutoring experience in mathematics. I have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics. I tutor math students from age 8 to adult learners.

Tutoring Style

I am very passionate about mathematics and love that there is always a solution to a given math problem. I adapt my teaching style based on what approach will best suit my learners. I pride myself on being able to teach mathematics to students in a language that they can understand. I reinforce the concepts I teach by providing many opportunities for practice. I see mathematics just like a sport: practice is needed to develop these skills.

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories is when I helped a high school student not only graduate high school but do exceedingly well in doing so. This student had learning differences and suffered from a sensory processing disability which made it difficult for him to learn new material. I started working with him in mathematics but ended up being his tutor for all subjects. Through very slow instruction we were able to get his learning to grade-level achievement. I was able to make a true impact on this student's learning abilities and mental health as a mentor and tutor.
