I am a teacher with more than a decade of experience mentoring others. I have taught elementary math, reading, social studies, and English as a second language. I have a master's degree in geography from Georgia State University and I tutor grades PK-5.

My tutoring style:

As a tutor, I strive to get to know my students and how they learn. This allows me to adapt my teaching style to each student. I also stress, not only learning a skill but also explaining the process and why of that skill. My favorite part of tutoring is helping students make connections and have "light bulb" moments.

Success story:

Some of my best moments as a tutor:
1. Hearing a parent say: "My child is more confident in math and has fun in your class."
2. Having a child who made a subpar grade on a test, after 2 sessions, makes an A on a test.

Hobbies and interests:

I like to read, take photographs, see fruit from gardening, and spend time with friends and family.
