I am a private tutor with over 5 years of teaching and tutoring experience in primarily STEM subjects—math, physics, chemistry, and computer science. Having achieved a perfect SAT score, I also specialize in SAT/ACT test prep. I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BS in Computer Science and tutor mainly high school and early college students.

Success Story

Math:

One of my students was in a demanding Honors Geometry class at one of NYC's top high schools. Despite working with several tutors, she wasn't seeing the results she wanted and the tutors were unable to help at that level—a situation incredibly frustrating for both the student and her family. My approach was for us to work through practice questions and dig deeper into her thought process, which allowed me to guide her problem-solving strategies. The improvements were immediate—she saw her grades rise significantly. Building on that success, we expanded our sessions to include Chemistry and then SAT prep. She quickly gained confidence and mastery in those subjects as well. All she needed was the right guidance to achieve her potential across all subjects.

Science:

One of my recent success stories is with a student I started helping with Physics. According to his mother's review, he "was getting low F's and D's and by the 4th quarter, he had an A in Physics and a B for the year overall." It was incredibly rewarding to see his grasp on the material, confidence, and grades soar. After starting with Physics, I also helped him prepare for his SAT, which he scored significantly higher than originally expected.
