I'm a certified mathematics teacher with 10 years of experience teaching middle and high school students, specializing in Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics. I hold a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and am currently pursuing a master's degree in Analytics at Georgia Tech. I also develop educational websites and interactive math resources to help students build confidence and improve their understanding of mathematics.

Tutoring Style

I believe students learn math best when they understand why something works rather than just memorizing steps. I start by identifying where a student is struggling and adjust my explanations and pacing to fit their needs. I use visual examples, real-world applications, and guided practice to make difficult concepts easier to understand. My goal is to help students become confident, independent problem solvers who can approach unfamiliar questions without feeling overwhelmed.

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories involves an Algebra student who came into my class with a 52 average and very little confidence in math. We spent several months rebuilding their foundational skills, focusing on problem-solving strategies, and practicing increasingly challenging Regents questions. By the spring, the student had become one of the most active participants in class and was regularly helping classmates work through difficult problems. The student finished the year with an 84 average and scored an 87 on the Algebra Regents exam, a transformation that made both of us incredibly proud.

Hobbies & Interests

Outside of teaching, I enjoy computer programming, strength training, and live music. I'm especially passionate about powerlifting and strongman competitions, and I love the challenge of continually improving my strength. I also enjoy building software projects, learning new technologies, and going to rock concerts whenever I get the chance.
