I am a certified educator with over 24 years of experience teaching and supporting students across secondary and postsecondary settings. I hold advanced degrees in education and specialize in science and academic skill development. I tutor Science students from upper elementary through college with a focus on confidence, clarity, and mastery.

Tutoring Style

My tutoring style is student-centered, supportive, and highly adaptive. I take time to understand each learner’s strengths, goals, and areas of need, adjusting the pace and approach to ensure concepts are truly understood. I emphasize clear explanations, guided practice, and repetition when needed, while also challenging students when they’re ready to move ahead. Above all, I focus on building confidence and independence so students can apply what they learn beyond our sessions.

Success Story

One success story I will always remember is working with a high school student who was repeating Biology for the second time and struggling significantly with the content. Through consistent support and targeted instruction, he gradually built confidence and strengthened his understanding of the material. Over time, he improved enough to not only pass the course but earn a B, and it was incredibly rewarding to see him grow into a more confident, motivated, and successful student.

Hobbies & Interests

During my spare time I enjoy reading. I also love watching documentaries especially about sports, history and art. My 5 year old daughter and my puppy are the best to spend time with.
