I am an experienced science educator with over ten years of teaching and tutoring students in grades 6–12. My background in secondary education allows me to break down complex concepts and support learners at every level. I’m committed to helping students build confidence, master challenging material, and achieve meaningful academic growth.
My tutoring style is rooted in a genuine passion for science and a commitment to making every concept feel accessible and engaging. I take time to understand each student’s learning style, strengths, and challenges so I can adapt my approach to meet their individual needs. Whether a student needs step‑by‑step guidance, enrichment, or confidence‑building support, I create a learning environment that is patient, encouraging, and tailored for success.
I worked with a 9th‑grade student who was having a tough time in Biology and wasn’t feeling confident at all. We met regularly, focused on the areas that were tripping him up, and found simple ways to make the material click. Little by little, he started improving and actually getting excited about his progress. By the end of the semester, he crushed his Biology Milestone/EOC with an 83%. Seeing him go from unsure to proud of himself was the best part.
Outside of teaching, I love getting outdoors to hike and explore new trails. I’m all about spending quality time with family and friends, whether we’re catching a good movie or just hanging out. Family game nights are my absolute favorite—they’re the perfect mix of laughter and friendly competition. And when I really want to unwind, you can usually find me singing my heart out at karaoke.
