I am a tutor with over 7 years of experience in teaching chemistry, biology, biochemistry and mathematics. I have a bachelor of science in biochemistry and a master of science in biomedical sciences, and I tutor grades 8-college.

My tutoring style:

I am an enthusiastic teacher who is very passionate about the subjects I teach. I like to adapt my style of teaching according the needs of my students, adjusting my speed and depth based on their understanding of each topic. I continuously review with my students until they feel confident in the material and can breeze through practice questions without hesitation.

Success story:

One of my favorite success stories is of a high school student who came to me for chemistry help. More than halfway through the school year he was barely making 40’s and couldn’t figure out why, but when we met we figured out part of the problem was due to a shaky foundation in math. Once we incorporated math review into our chemistry sessions he began to better understand the material and a few weeks later his final grade was up to a 79, and he went on to continue his chemistry studies in college!

Anime/manga (favorites include One Piece, Cells at Work, Spy x Family and Ghibli movies), singing, writing, and gaming (favorites include Professor Layton, Genshin Impact, Persona 5 and Pokémon)
