I am a math teacher and tutor with over 15 years of experience working with students from elementary through high school. I have taught full classes online using Google Meet and also worked one-on-one with students through Zoom and Google Meet. My focus is on building confidence in math by meeting students where they are and helping them understand the why behind the concepts.

Tutoring Style

My tutoring style is warm and patient. I believe in meeting students where they are and helping them build confidence by breaking concepts down into manageable steps. I use real-life examples and different approaches until the student truly understands the why behind the math, not just the steps. I celebrate small wins to keep students motivated and always create a safe space where it’s okay to make mistakes and learn from them.

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories is a middle school student who came to me convinced that she “just wasn’t good at math.” She had been struggling with fractions and basic algebra, and her confidence was very low. We worked together regularly, focusing on breaking problems into smaller steps and celebrating small wins along the way. By the end of the year, not only had her grades improved, but she was raising her hand in class and even helping her peers with homework. Seeing that transformation in her confidence was the biggest success of all.

Hobbies & Interests

When I’m not tutoring, I love spending time with my two boys, who keep me busy with sports and school activities. I enjoy cooking family dinners, reading, and doing yoga as a way to relax and recharge. I also like being creative, designing printable planners for work, or doing fun projects at home.
