I am a certified general and special education teacher with more than a decade of experience in classrooms teaching Sciences and Math. I have a bachelor's and master’s degree from Florida International University and I tutor Math and Science for grades 4-College.

Tutoring Style

I am a patient and kind teacher that is passionate about the topics I teach. I adapt my teaching style to the needs of my student, going slow and repeating myself if needed or jumping to meet their level. I enforce the topics we learn together by providing different review strategies until the student feels fully confident in the subject.

Success Story

Math:

One of my favorite success stories involved a student I worked with from 8th grade until her senior graduation. She had struggles in math and over the years we worked on strengthening her math skills. In 11th grade, the student was given a project where she had to use Geometry and accurately create a blueprint and 3D model. She was able to work on this project with little support and her teacher was amazed on how precise her calculations came out. This was proof that the years of support helped build her confidence and that she was also able to apply it to real life situations.

Science:

As a science teacher, I enjoy sharing my passion for science with students by connecting concepts to their individual interests. One student I worked with struggled in physical science and was initially focused on earning just a passing grade. Through weekly tutoring sessions for the remainder of the school year, the student made significant progress and finished the term with a high grade in the class. The student shared that breaking the material down into manageable steps made it much easier to understand.

Hobbies & Interests

I am a huge Japanese and Korean Enthusiast! Anything that involves anime, gaming, Kpop, kdramas, language, and food bring me happiness! I also greatly enjoy figure skating and playing the piano.
