I love math and I enjoy helping others understand it. I have a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University at Long Beach and I tutor grades K-College.

My tutoring style:

I think encouragement is key! Math is not an easy subject for everyone but I am very good at explaining concepts in a way that students understand. Each student has a different learning style they respond to better than others so I try my best to recognize that and teach accordingly. Also, I’m a huge fan of practice problems! In sports, you have to practice in order to succeed. Same thing goes for math, practice makes perfect!

Success story:

I had the pleasure of tutoring a student online at Everett Community College where English was not her first language. We were able to work together for a couple of quarters. I first tutored her in a Business Algebra class and then tutored her in Statistics the next quarter. In Statistics, there are a lot of word problems and with English not being her first language, it was a bit tough for her. She was so grateful that I could explain the concepts in a way she could understand without using her language, and I was so happy I could help her! She received an A in both classes.
