I have over 13 years of tutoring and teaching experience in math, physics, programming, and other STEM fields. I have a master's degree in physics from Boston University and I tutor grades 6-College.

My tutoring style:

As someone with a lifetime love of learning, I try to impart that passion I have onto my students. I understand that every student learns differently, so I try to find the best teaching approach and tailor my lessons and learning strategies for each student accordingly. I firmly believe that identifying the core reason for confusion and working to ensure my students deeply understand the logic, rather than just memorize the mechanics of solving problems, is the key to success both now and in the future.

Success story:

I once had a university undergraduate student who, as part of the requirements for a program in which they were enrolled, needed to take calculus and physics courses. This student's major was not in a STEM field, and she had convinced herself that she not only would fail the course but that she was not even capable of understanding the material. By relating the concepts to her interests and major subject and breaking down the problems into more digestible component parts, she was able to learn the material and gain the confidence to succeed in an unfamiliar subject. As a result, she was able to succeed in the required courses, even though they were far outside her comfort zone.

Hobbies and interests:

I have a very deep love of cooking and baking, regularly making complex dishes from all over the world to share with the people I care about. When I'm not cooking and testing new dishes, I love playing games (mostly on PC) and have for as long as I can remember! As a proud nerd, I also often find myself getting immersed in a topic and dedicating myself to learning it; currently I'm studying topics and applications in Machine Learning.
