I am a dedicated tutor with strong expertise in STEM subjects and English, supporting students from elementary through college-level coursework. I specialize in SAT and ACT preparation, combining academic instruction with proven college advising strategies to help students improve scores and navigate the admissions process. I hold degrees from UNC Chapel Hill and bring a structured, results-driven approach to every tutoring session.

Tutoring Style

My tutoring style is highly learner-centered, meaning I tailor every session to meet each student exactly where they are academically and build from there. I have experience working with students with learning differences and adapt my approach to fit their needs, whether that means breaking concepts down, using multiple strategies, or adjusting pacing. I focus on identifying and addressing the root causes of a student’s struggles rather than just completing assignments or cramming for exams. My goal is to build confidence, deepen understanding, and equip students with independent learning skills they can apply long after our sessions.

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories is a student I worked with on SAT prep who started with a 580 in the Reading and Writing section in January. In just six weeks, we focused on targeted skill-building, test-taking strategies, and addressing the specific gaps that were holding him back. Through consistent practice and a personalized approach, he raised his March score to a 710 in that section. Beyond the score increase, he gained confidence in his abilities and a much stronger grasp of critical reading and writing skills.

Hobbies & Interests

When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy swimming and staying active. I also love music and spend a lot of time listening to different artists and genres. Gaming is another big hobby of mine, and I like both casual and story-driven games. I also really enjoy traveling and experiencing new places whenever I get the chance.
