Hello! I am a certified teacher from Northeast Georgia with twelve years of teaching experience and over twenty years of tutoring experience in English and Language Arts. I hold a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in English Education (teaching). I specialize in English, Literature, Academic Writing, Creative Writing, ESL, SAT/ACT Prep, and Film.

Tutoring Style:

I love tutoring students because I get to work one on one with students to meet their individual needs. Each student is unique, and nothing makes me happier than helping my students achieve their goals. I want to be a valuable resource in the lives of those I can help, using my experience as a student and as a teacher. Furthermore, I want to be an aid in whatever they want to achieve. Nothing makes me feel prouder than seeing my students succeed. To that end, I try to be open and available for my students as much as possible. They teach me as much as I teach them. We learn together!

Success Story:

My greatest accomplishment was developing the entire English curriculum for a high school in Sichuan, China. I taught and tutored there for a year, and when I began my job, there was no curriculum. I assessed the needs of the students, developed the curriculum for ESL and Literature, and set appropriate bench parts. The result was that all students saw a significant increase in their TOEFL scores. My desire is to bring the same effort and success to your students!

Hobbies & Interests:

When I have free time, I love to spend time with family, friends, and my corgi- Lucy. I also enjoy reading, movies, and learning. In fact, I consider myself a lifelong learner!
