I am a credentialed math teacher with over a decade of experience teaching and tutoring math students grade 6-12. I have a bachelor's degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills and received my teaching credential from Long Beach State.

Tutoring Style

I believe that math is most effectively learned when the student is an active participant, so my style is collaborative and encouraging. I guide my students through the logic of each problem, help them unlock the answer themselves so they can replicate that success on their own. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions and leave every session feeling more confident than when they started.

Success Story

I remember working with a high school senior whose math confidence was very low. He wanted to work on building his math skills so he can prepare to take the ASVAB test. For a month he worked 3-4 days a week with me. Towards the end of our sessions, he had moved from constant self-doubting to solving complex problems independently, gaining the confidence he needed to pursue his career in the military.

Hobbies & Interests

I enjoy a mix of adventure and relaxation. I like taking walks outdoor, on a hike, on the beach, or at Disneyland. I'm a big foodie and love trying out new or trending places to eat. At home, I enjoy watching football, YouTube, or binge watching a great TV series.
