I have more than 10 years of experience tutoring. I live and teach at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts with my spouse and two young daughters. I have a bachelor's degree in computer science and a master's degree in human factors from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I tutor grades 8-College.
My style tends to be a student centered approach. This approach allows the tutee to share more about what they know. I then serve as a coach to support/solidify their understanding through practicing together similar problems and then tutee attempts to do problems on their own with my support.
In my tutoring years at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University , a friend approached me to help him pass a Calculus class for pilots (MTH112) he was repeating for a third time in the summer. We designed a schedule where we met right after his lectures to review the class notes, do homework and practice extra problems as well as prepare for tests. As the summer term progressed, his confidence in the subject grew stronger leading him to be successful and passing the class with an A at the end of the term. He went on to be come a successful pilot.
Recreational tennis and soccer. Watch soccer games, occasional jogging, listen to smooth jazz and Christiaan songs and spending time with my children.
