I am a high school science teacher who specializes in life sciences. Most recently, I have focused on forensics, anatomy, and medical terminology, though my foundation is in biology and AP biology. I hold a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
I am a hands-on, practice-based tutor who believes students learn best by doing. I love diving into real-world scenarios and targeted problem sets to help students actively engage with the material and truly understand the concepts. By working through examples together, I guide students in building confidence, strengthening problem-solving skills, and developing the independence they need to tackle challenges on their own.
I worked with a young chemistry student during my first few months as a tutor. She initially lacked confidence in the subject, so we spent about a month practicing and preparing for her final exam. By the end of the term, she was able to complete her final with confidence and earned a B+, a significant improvement from the D she had before.
I coach track and field, compete in triathlons, bake all the time, and read for fun!
