I am an experienced tutor with over a decade of experience teaching STEM subjects in high school and college academic settings, as well as STEM, English, and humanities for SAT and ACT preparation. I hold a master’s degree from McNeese State University and support students from 8th grade through college.
Whether teaching a class or tutoring an individual student, I always bring my passion for the subject matter and commitment to delivering effective, high-quality instruction. I strongly believe in dynamic instruction, adjusting my pace and approach as needed to ensure each student has the best path toward success.
Throughout my many years of math tutoring, I’ve worked with numerous students who started as D and C performers and ultimately became A students, but one of my favorite success stories was working with an adult learner who had repeated College Algebra multiple times. By meeting every weekday and reviewing topics as often as needed to reinforce understanding and retention, she was able to pass College Algebra and continue pursuing her degree.
I have also had great success supporting students in Chemistry and Physics, helping them break down complex concepts into manageable steps, strengthen problem-solving skills, and build confidence in subjects that can initially feel overwhelming.
When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy gaming, taking walks in nature with my dogs, and all forms of comedy, whether that’s stand-up, movies, podcasts, or anything that brings a good laugh. I also enjoy supporting my friends by attending their music shows whenever I have the time.
