I am an experienced Math, Spanish, and ELA tutor with over 10 years of experience supporting students from kindergarten through college. I focus on personalized instruction, identifying learning gaps, and helping students build confidence and strong academic foundations. My background in Electrical Engineering strengthens my analytical approach to teaching and problem-solving.
I am a patient and supportive tutor who believes every student can succeed with the right approach. I adjust my teaching based on each student’s level, whether that means slowing down, reviewing fundamentals, or challenging them to think more critically. I use clear explanations, guided practice, and encouragement to build confidence. I also ensure students fully understand concepts before moving forward.
One of my favorite success stories is helping a middle school student who was struggling with Algebra fundamentals, particularly solving equations and working with variables. He started the semester feeling overwhelmed and was performing at a failing level. Through consistent sessions focused on breaking concepts down step by step and reinforcing practice, he built confidence and strengthened his understanding. By the end of the term, he raised his grade from a failing score to a solid A and was able to solve problems independently with confidence.
I have also had great success working with students in Spanish and ELA, helping them strengthen reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, and their overall confidence in the classroom.
Outside of tutoring I enjoy reading, going to the gym, and journaling.
