I'm a dedicated online tutor with 4 years of experience in helping students build confidence in Chemistry and Math. I have a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Nutritional Sciences, and I tutor students from the 6th grade through high school, including AP Chemistry.

Tutoring Style

My tutoring approach is patient and student-focused. I love interacting with students and explaining concepts using analogies and real-life examples. I combine clear explanations with guided practice and problem-solving while closely working with the student to target problem areas and build their confidence. My favorite part of tutoring is when a difficult topic finally clicks and seeing that "aha!" moment in real time.

Success Stories

Chemistry: I worked with a student taking introductory chemistry who wanted to pursue food science but struggled with abstract concepts like balancing equations and molar calculations. We met weekly throughout the school year, breaking down difficult topics into simpler, relatable explanations. By the end of the year, she successfully passed the course. Her father noted that I was able to “translate science concepts into a language [his] daughter understands.”

Math: I worked with a student taking Algebra I who was frustrated and discouraged by the coursework. We met twice a week, focusing on building his confidence through progressively more challenging problems until he could solve equations independently. By the end, we were able to “get [his] grade back on track” from a C to an A-.
