I’m a data-driven analyst and astrophysics researcher finishing an M.Sc. at Queen’s University (expected January 2027), with a B.S. in Astrophysics from Rutgers. I build Python pipelines that turn large, messy datasets into clear insights, and I’ve led multi-institutional projects and taught and tutored students from high school through university.

Tutoring Style

I focus on building understanding rather than memorizing steps. I start by finding out where a student is, then adjust my pace and explanations to fit, slowing down and trying a different angle when something isn’t clicking, or moving ahead when they’re ready. I break hard problems into small, manageable pieces and ask students to explain their reasoning aloud, which shows me where the gaps are and builds their confidence. My background in research and teaching lets me connect math and physics to real-world examples, so the material feels useful and not abstract. We review regularly until the concepts stick and students can solve new problems on their own.

Success Story

Math: One of my favorite success stories is a high school student who came to me midway through the semester struggling in Algebra 2 and feeling convinced she was “just bad at math.” We met twice a week, and instead of drilling procedures, I had her explain each step aloud so we could find exactly where her understanding broke down. It turned out that a few gaps in fractions and factoring were causing most of her errors. Once we fixed those, her confidence took off, and she raised her grade from a C- to a B+ by the end of the term.

Physics: One of my favorite success stories is a college student who came to me struggling in his introductory mechanics course, especially with word problems. We met weekly and practiced turning each problem into a diagram and a short list of known and unknown quantities before touching any equations. Once he had that habit, problems that used to feel overwhelming became manageable. He went from failing his first two exams to earning a B on the final and passing the course with confidence.
