Tutoring Style

I am an enthusiastic teacher, passionate about the topics I teach. I adapt my teaching style to the needs of my student, going slow and repeating myself if needed or jumping to meet their level. I enforce the topics we learn together by reviewing them until the student passes.

Success Stories

One of my favorite tutoring success stories involved an 8th-grade student who entered the year convinced he was "just not a math person" while struggling with multi-step algebraic equations. We met twice a week to break down complex procedures into structured, manageable steps and rebuild his confidence with foundational concepts. By mid-year, not only had his grade jumped from a C- to an A, but he actively started volunteering to solve problems at the board in his regular class. He ultimately scored in the highest percentile on his state end-of-course exam and successfully transitioned into Honors Algebra 1 with complete independence.
