I am an experienced teacher having taught for over twenty years in both private and public, in person and virtually. I have taught grades 1 through 2nd year of college classes including Algebra,(1,2 and college level), Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus including AP Calculus. I have a BA in math from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Babson College.
I am a nurturing and enthusiastic teacher who learns what my students learning style is and differentiate their learning to meet their needs. I give a lot of instructions if needed and show them many examples and have them practice what I have taught. I tell students to ask as many questions as they need for that is how you learn. I work to make sure the students become successful in what they are trying to learn.
I started tutoring a student when he was a sophomore in high school. He really hated math and did not want to try. As I worked with him I tried explaining the wonderful ways that math could be applied to his life and the real world. He started to like math, worked hard, and passed the class. I followed him and helped throughout his high school and college years and he is very successful in math.
I enjoy being with my family. I also love spending time with my cat and dog (Sid and Freddie). I enjoy watching tennis and when I want to really relax I watch the Hallmark channel.
