I am a detail-oriented Mathematics educator with a master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Missouri and nearly 10 years of experience supporting high school and college students. I tutor students in Math from middle school through college. I am passionate about helping learners build confidence and master challenging concepts through personalized, student-focused instruction.
My tutoring style centers on progress over perfection, helping students strengthen existing knowledge while building confidence step by step. I encourage students to take an active role in solving problems, while I guide them with questions, structure, and encouragement. This approach builds confidence, independence, and deeper understanding.
A high school Algebra II student came to me feeling overwhelmed and discouraged after struggling through the first semester of the course. We focused on strengthening foundational skills from the first semester while progressing through the new material, allowing the student to actively work through problems while I guided their thinking. By the end of the semester, they not only passed the course but felt proud of their growth and more confident approaching new math challenges.
When I am not working on math, I enjoy spending time baking in the kitchen, gardening, riding motorcycles, binge watching my new favorite Netflix show, or paddleboarding in the Phoenix sun. No matter what I am doing, you can always find me spoiling my fur baby.
