Success Story

One of the most rewarding moments in Algebra 2 involves a student who was convinced they "just weren't a math person" because they were struggling with quadratic functions. The concept of the vertex form and completing the square felt like a foreign language to them, and their confidence was at an all-time low. We decided to slow everything down and look at the "why" behind the steps rather than just memorizing a formula. We practiced the process repeatedly, breaking the equations into smaller, manageable chunks until the logic finally clicked. By the time the unit test came around, they didn't just pass—they actually finished early and earned an A, showing a total mastery of the material that they previously thought was impossible.

My home is a constant canvas, and I’m always looking for ways to refresh a space and make it feel more intentional. In the kitchen, I’m an avid Pinterest recipe collector. I love the process of picking out a new meal to cook, though lately, I’ve been putting in extra effort to slowly work on my baking skills. There’s something incredibly satisfying about the precision of baking—it’s a lot like a math problem that actually tastes delicious once you solve it!
