I am an organized, dedicated tutor with 3 years of professional SAT/ACT test prep experience and 5 years of teaching and tutoring experience overall. I am a test prep expert with a streamlined study approach and a strong track record of student score improvements. I have a bachelor's degree from Barnard College of Columbia University and I tutor grades 6-12.

Tutoring Style

I simplify the SAT/ACT test prep process by creating manageable schedules and breaking down tough concepts week by week. Students learn the topics commonly asked on the test as well as key test-taking strategies. I personalize sessions to each student's individual needs, honing in on the areas they need the most review on. With a mix of practice tests and topic-based worksheets, my sessions are designed to help students feel confident on test day! When tutoring non-test-prep subjects, I design personalized lessons to support each students unique academic goals.

Success Story

I helped a motivated test-prep student boost his ACT score from 26 to a 35. After 12 weeks of tutoring, he significantly increased his section scores - for example, he raised his English score from a 22 to a 35! He ultimately received a significant scholarship package to one of his first-choice schools.

Hobbies & Interests

Outside of tutoring, I can often be found performing music at a local open mic (I play guitar, piano and sing). I am also a passionate artist, painting in acrylics and sketching in mixed media. I love spending time in nature, with a special preference for the beach!
