I have been teaching for about 10 years, working with students in all high school Math subjects from Pre-Algebra through AP Calculus. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University. Right now, I primarily tutor Geometry and AP Calculus, helping students prepare for tests, strengthen problem-solving skills, and build confidence in math.
My tutoring style is flexible and student-centered, since many of my sessions are based on what the student is currently learning. I often come in knowing the general unit they’re working on, but the session naturally adjusts depending on the questions they bring or the concepts they’re struggling with. I focus on guiding students through problems step by step, asking questions, and helping them understand the reasoning behind the math rather than just giving answers. I keep things supportive and conversational so students feel comfortable asking for help and building confidence as they improve.
One of my recent tutoring success stories is a student named Jacob who started working with me in AP Calculus AB with very little confidence in his abilities. He decided to try tutoring to supplement what he was learning in class and get more one-on-one support. Over the past month, I’ve seen a big change—he’s now attempting problems independently, asking deeper questions, and even helping guide his group members during class work. He’s been performing better on his tests than he expected, and seeing his confidence and attitude toward challenging problems grow has been incredibly rewarding. I’m really proud of the progress he’s made so far.
When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy staying active and keeping my mind engaged. I like spending time on hobbies that involve problem-solving, learning new things, and working with my hands. I also enjoy going to the gym, listening to music, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. In general, I like exploring new interests and activities in my free time.
