With two decades of teaching and tutoring experience, I help students build genuine confidence and deep conceptual understanding in mathematics. My background spans everything from foundational elementary math to advanced high school coursework and college readiness. I tailor each session to meet students where they are, transforming math anxiety into measurable progress and curiosity.
My tutoring style is dynamic, encouraging, and entirely tailored to the individual learner. I break down difficult topics using clear visual representations and real-world connections so students can truly grasp how numbers work together. Whether a student needs to slow down and rebuild foundational gaps or accelerate into advanced problem-solving, I adapt each lesson in real time. We actively work through problems together until the student feels completely self-assured and ready to tackle independent work with ease.
One of my favorite success stories involves a high school student who came to me halfway through the semester failing her Precalculus course and convinced she simply wasn't a "math person." We met twice weekly to strip away the pressure, identify core algebra gaps, and rebuild her conceptual understanding using visual breakdowns and step-by-step problem mapping. Not only did her grade jump from an F to a solid B+ by final exams, but she also developed the self-assurance to ask questions openly in class. Watching her transition from debilitating math anxiety to genuine confidence and independence in advanced math remains one of the most rewarding milestones of my teaching career.
When I’m not teaching, I love staying active outdoors—whether that’s going for a long run, roller skating, practicing yoga, or taking relaxing nature walks. I also have a passion for gardening and growing my own food, which keeps me connected to nature. In my downtime, you can often find me working on creative hands-on crafts or hosting fun game nights with classic board, card, and retro video games.
