I am a graduate of Brown University, where I earned degrees in Filmic Studies and History, and I bring more than five years of experience working with students in grades K–12. In addition to tutoring, I am a professional actor and writer who has appeared in more than fifteen theatrical productions, including Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Balancing academics with a performing career taught me the value of discipline, perseverance, and strong mentorship—values I now bring to every session. I strive to make learning both effective and enjoyable, and I promise I'll make you laugh at least a couple of times along the way!
Each and every student deserves a tailor-made learning experience and a guide who can help them recognize their strengths and use them to their fullest potential. I believe in challenging students in positive and productive ways while making sure we have fun along the way. I'm committed to meeting students where they are academically and am known for my adaptability, adjusting my approach to fit each student's unique learning style, structure, and goals. My priority is creating an environment where students feel supported, engaged, and empowered to succeed.
One of my proudest moments as a tutor was helping a student who was passionate about science but completely uninterested in English discover how the literary arts can deepen our understanding of scientific ideas and human experiences. After his previous teacher left midway through the semester, I introduced him to Frankenstein instead of the reading assignment he had originally been given.
After reading just a few chapters, he came to class completely engaged and eager to discuss the book. Watching his curiosity grow and seeing him connect literature to the scientific topics he loved was incredibly rewarding. Later, his mother told me that he finally "understood" why people read. Moments like these remind me that great teaching isn't just about improving grades—it's about helping students discover new ways of thinking and fostering a genuine love of learning.
I’m a history fanatic and absolutely obsessed with movies and television. You can often find me watching a classic film from the 1940s or reading a nonfiction book about some wonderfully bizarre trend from the Middle Ages. I’m also a very amateur surfer and enjoy gaming from time to time.
