I am a certified teacher with about 10 years of experience in both live and online classrooms teaching science and biology to students in middle school and high school. I have a bachelor's degree in Biology from Metropolitan State University of Denver, as well as a Master's degree in Education, Learning and Teaching from the University of Redlands. I tutor grades 4 - 12.

Tutoring Style

Learning should be engaging, encouraging, and even fun! I bring enthusiasm and a passion for teaching to every session, adapting my approach to fit each student’s needs and learning pace. Whether we need to slow down and practice a concept or jump into a new challenge, I meet students where they are. By connecting lessons to what they already know and what interests them, I make learning meaningful. My goal is to help every student build confidence, truly understand the material, and feel proud of what they can accomplish!

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories is a high school student who had fallen far behind in his classes while navigating some difficult circumstances at home. We met weekly for the remainder of the school year, working together to rebuild his understanding, catch up on missed material, and build his confidence. By the end of the year, he had caught up in all of his classes and earned an A in Biology! Seeing him work through those challenges and achieve that kind of success was incredibly rewarding and a great reminder of what students can accomplish with consistent support and encouragement.

Hobbies & Interests

I enjoy spending time outdoors, either camping, hiking with my dog or just playing with my chickens! I also enjoy crafts and baking. I love to crochet and make sweet treats and have started baking homemade sourdough bread!
