I am a certified teacher with more than a decade of experience in classrooms teaching math, science and ELA to students ranging from grades 1-6. I have a bachelor's degree from SUNY Oswego and a Masters degree from Touro University.
I'm a dedicated and passionate teacher who truly enjoys the subjects I teach. I tailor my teaching approach to fit each student’s individual needs—whether that means slowing down and repeating concepts or advancing quickly to match their level. I reinforce learning by regularly reviewing material until the student masters it with confidence and success.
Last year, I worked with a student who was really struggling to add and subtract fractions. They felt overwhelmed and often gave up before even trying. I broke the concepts down into simple, visual steps and used real-life examples to make it more relatable. After a few weeks of patient, consistent practice, everything clicked—and the student not only passed their math test but also began helping classmates with fractions. Seeing their confidence grow was incredibly rewarding.
Sports! I love watching and playing sports. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, listening to music, watching a good movie, and trying new food!
