I am a teacher with more than a decade of classroom experience, teaching mathematics from basic arithmetic through Calculus. I hold a Ph.D. from Northern Illinois University and am passionate about helping students build strong mathematical foundations, confidence, and problem-solving skills at every level.
I am a passionate and enthusiastic educator who genuinely cares about helping my students succeed. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to meet each student's individual needs, learning style, and goals. My priority is creating a supportive environment where students feel encouraged, engaged, and confident as they learn.
One of my favorite success stories is about a nursing student. When she came to my Intermediate Algebra class, she was struggling significantly. After the first exam, she realized that it was going to be a very tough semester for her.
We met, and she agreed to work with me one-on-one three times a week after class for the rest of the semester. Within a few weeks, I could already see a difference. However, she realized that time was not on her side that semester. She decided to drop the class, but she continued attending class and meeting with me during my office hours.
The following semester, she enrolled in my class again. This time, she genuinely enjoyed the coursework and performed very well. It was incredibly rewarding to see the smile on her face and the confidence she had gained.
Besides my work, I enjoy hiking, playing sports, watching movies, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
