I am a certified secondary math teacher with 5 years of classroom experience teaching middle and high school math in Florida, along with several years of tutoring. I have always loved math and education! I tutor 6th through 12th grade.

My Tutoring Style:

I am an empathetic teacher who knows the importance of individual learning styles. Together we will strive to meet the student's educational goals, as well as strengthen foundational skills. I believe anyone can be successful in math if they are willing to put forth the effort!

Success Story:

One of my favorite success stories was just last year, in an 8th grade pre-algebra course. My student was worried about passing her state standardized exam. After tutoring with me for a quarter of the year, her mid-term progress monitoring score had tripled (from a '1' to a '3'). I found that she was good at math, but got overwhelmed easily. A lot of guided practice was all she needed to help her memorize the massive amount of material. Sure enough, at the end of the school year she scored a 5 (the highest score)! This was the highest she had ever scored in math and greatly boosted her confidence going forward.

Hobbies & Interests:

I enjoy outdoor activities like going to the beach, camping, and fishing. When I'm not teaching or tutoring, I can be found playing Roblox with my daughters, reading sci-fi or mysteries, or trying a new recipe. We have a dog, a hedgehog, and a hamster!
