I am a dedicated Mathematics educator with over 9 years of combined teaching and tutoring experience. I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Mathematics from The City College of New York and have professional experience as a High School Mathematics Teacher. I specialize in supporting students across the full spectrum of math, from Middle School Math and Algebra to SAT Prep, Pre-calculus, and Calculus.
I truly believe that anyone can be a "math person" with the right support! My goal is to boost my students' confidence by breaking down intimidating topics like Algebra or Calculus into simple, bite-sized pieces. I love to use real-world examples and technology to make my lessons exciting and relatable. I always adapt my style to fit your unique needs, moving at a pace that makes you feel comfortable and empowered to tackle any exam.
One of my favorite moments as a teacher was helping a student who felt completely stuck with Pre-calculus. We spent time together in personalized review sessions, focusing not just on the "how," but the "why" behind the math. I’ll never forget the look of pure excitement on their face when those complex concepts finally clicked! Seeing their standardized test scores rise was great, but watching their confidence grow as they realized they could master advanced math on their own was even better.
Outside of tutoring, I’m a big believer in staying both mentally and physically active. I’m an avid chess player, which helps me keep my problem-solving skills sharp. I also love playing soccer and hitting the gym—I find that the discipline of sports translates perfectly into a focused learning environment. For downtime, there’s nothing better than walking by the sea while catching up on my favorite podcasts or music; it’s how I stay curious and refreshed.
