I am a certified teacher with more than 15 years of experience in both elementary and middle school classrooms. My specialty is teaching math. I hold a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Business. I primarily tutor students in grades 3–9.

Tutoring Style

I am an experienced, enthusiastic, and humorous tutor with a passion for math. My teaching style focuses on helping students understand the “why” behind solving math problems. I adapt my approach to meet each student’s individual needs. I reinforce the topics we cover by reviewing them until the student feels confident with the material.

Success Story

I began working with a student who had been placed in an advanced math class in 5th grade but struggled to understand why she was there and lacked confidence in her abilities. Early on, we focused on building her foundational understanding and helping her see the logic behind each concept, which gradually improved both her skills and her mindset. As her confidence grew, she became more willing to take on challenges and engage deeply with the material. Over time, her progress was remarkable, within two years, she had not only caught up but excelled to the point of skipping another grade level in math.
