I earned my B.S. in Mathematics from Tufts University and am currently pursuing my M.S. in Mathematics. With over five years of tutoring experience, I have helped students succeed in mathematics courses ranging from Pre-Algebra to college-level Calculus, as well as on standardized exams such as the SAT and ACT. I am passionate about making challenging concepts accessible and helping students build both confidence and academic independence.

Tutoring Style

I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to the student's individual learning style, goals, and pace. My tutoring approach combines clear, step-by-step explanations with active problem-solving, allowing students to develop a deep understanding rather than simply memorizing procedures. I strive to create a supportive, low-stress environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.

When appropriate, I also incorporate test-taking and stress-management strategies to help students approach exams with greater confidence. Above all, my goal is to make math feel approachable, rewarding, and even enjoyable while helping students achieve meaningful and measurable progress.

Success Story

One of my favorite tutoring success stories involves a student I began working with during her sophomore year of high school, when she was struggling in Precalculus and earning a C in the course. Over the next several years, I had the privilege of supporting her through every math class she took, from Precalculus through Calculus, helping her develop not only stronger problem-solving skills but also a genuine appreciation for mathematical thinking. By the end of high school, she was consistently earning A's in her math courses and approaching challenging concepts with confidence.

Beyond academics, I also guided her through the college essay and application process, and it was incredibly rewarding to watch her grow into the thoughtful, hardworking young woman she is today. She now attends a highly selective university, where she is studying business, and witnessing her success has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my tutoring career.

Hobbies & Interests

When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy swimming, solving Rubik's cubes, painting, and watching sitcoms and anime. As a mathematics student, I also genuinely enjoy exploring advanced topics and working through textbooks, proofs, and interesting problems purely for fun. I love activities that combine creativity, logic, and lifelong learning, and I often bring that same enthusiasm and curiosity into my tutoring sessions.
